I quit X around November 2024.
I'll let you do the math...
But today, I needed to capture my old content, so I logged in.
I enjoyed reflecting on those moments, and it also highlighted my periods of consistency.
The point is this...
One of my goals this year was growing my newsletter subscribers.
One would think, if you write good content it would grow organically? Wrong!
Therefore, I dedicated 20 hours last week to study newsletter growth and monetization strategies.
Driving traffic from social media content kept popping up.
And I wanted to focus on platforms where people loved to read.
I decided to focus on Threads and LinkedIn ― hence recovering my thoughtful Tweets.
If it worked before, why not repurpose and recycle valuable content?

Here’s the thing…
Oftentimes, we make things harder than they need to be.
Some of my favorite motivational speakers earn a handsome living retelling their same story ― rinse and repeat.
When I sat down to write today, I didn't plan on discussing newsletter marketing.
The fact of the matter, I started my newsletter to become a consistent writer and document my story for a future book.
And since we're on the newsletter topic…
Here are five important tips you should know when growing a newsletter:
Master Your Content & Cultivate a Unique Voice (3-5 min read time)
Implement a Strategic Growth Funnel ― Don't just wait for subscribers; actively seek them out.
Amplify Reach Through Collaboration & Cross-Platform Leverage ― Your newsletter doesn't exist in a vacuum.
Prioritize Reader Engagement & Retention Metrics ― Growth isn't just about new subscribers; it's about keeping them.
All large newsletters get 90% of their growth through paid ads.
