In 2017, I left Corporate America in pursuit of my entrepreneurial journey. I wish I could tell you that it’s been all glitz and glamour but that would be untrue. Given my wins and loses, I wouldn’t want it any other way. The fact I am able to earn an income based on what I create, while still growing as an entrepreneur? It’s a Blessing!

I accepted the challenge to create a life of freedom and that is priceless to me. Going through the ups and downs is part of the journey. I began sharing my journey on YouTube but never thought I would be writing a newsletter for you to read today.

I don’t know exactly where you are on your journey, but I share words of encouragement, lessons learned, and ideas to help you grow your business.

Have you ever had the best product or idea, spent months developing it, only to have little to no sales at all? How did that make you feel? Like a failure? Waste of time? Or better yet, “At least I learned something”? I’ve been there too!

Each week, we are going to break down marketing strategies and today’s topic is “copywriting”. Writing is the foundation of all content we consume today. For example, music (lyrics), movie (scripts), print media etc.

Copywriting is a form of persuasive writing or the act of writing words on a page that converts better.

Copywriting is a vital part of marketing and my goal is to help you turn your vision into a success story! Let’s go!



Write down this formula: AIDA

Let’s breakdown the “AIDA” formula/model:

Attention - Grab the reader’s attention! (ie. headlines)
Interest - Interesting facts/benefits of your product or service (hold attention)
Desire - How your product or service will make them feel (emotion)
Action - Compel the reader to take action (click, signup, buy etc.)

Here is an example: ”Twitter Growth Course”

Attention - Are you struggling to grow your Twitter following?

Interest - Our Twitter Growth Course is designed to teach you proven strategies that will help you gain more followers, increase engagement, and build a powerful online presence in 30 days!

Desire - Imagine waking up to a 50% increase in twitter followers who engage with your content everytime you post!

 Prompt: "My business or product idea is X, how can I apply the AIDA copywriting process? Give me an example"

Summary: The AIDA formula has been used for over 100 years (Elias St. Elmo Lewis 1898) and it is still working today. Here’s the thing: You have to practice, practice, practice and practice. Nothing will work for you, unless you do!

🤖 TP’s AI Tool of Week - “Bing Chat”

Bing Chat

Bing Chat has been my go-to for reading documents and reading webpages. This is for those who don't want to build a tool using python and langchain. I've done that too but why pay api fees when Bing Chat can do it for free. 

Here's what I do:
1. Open Edge browser
2. Pick a mode - Balanced
3. browse to a website or paste the file path of a local pdf document.
4. Ask it to summarize. Note: if it says it cannot, switch over to "Compose" mode.
