Life Is a Fight for Territory: Nobody Is Coming to Finish It For You
Most people don't fail because they lack talent.
They fail because they never finish.
2026 is my year of completion.
Last year was productive, but I left opportunities on the table.
This year I'm finishing what I started.
And here's the hard truth.
Unfinished goals don't just sit there waiting for you.
They pile up. They haunt you. They keep you stuck.
The longer you wait — the heavier they get.
So I got to work.
Two hardware projects in progress.
My patent project is 90% done on circuit board testing.
I also built a game this week called Pixel Audio.
Over 20 years ago, I struggled with complex music software as a new producer.
So I built the tool I wish I had back then.
And I gamified the learning experience.
But get this...
Today, I was troubleshooting my circuit board and I saw a puff of smoke.
I turned off power and disconnected the battery.
I'd rather find defects now during prototyping than in a finished product out in the field.
It's part of the process.
Find it. Fix it. Make it better.
But here's the thing...
Last night reminded me why this is worth fighting for.
We took a break and attended a boxing event at Maryland Live.
We went to see Nick "The Truth" Isaac (a fighter from our boxing gym).
He scored a knockout in the fifth round.
He fought in the main event and did not disappoint!
But the undercard fights got me thinking.
One fight was over in less than 10 seconds.
Another was a pure battle of wills.
Two fighters. Two game plans. Two people fighting for what they trained for.
Les Brown's quote hit me right there in that arena:
"Life is a fight for territory. The things you don't want will take over if you don't fight for what you want."
So here's the question.
What's sitting unfinished in your life right now?
Your business. Your health. Your goals.
Nobody's coming to finish it for you.
Lace up. Get back in the ring.
Fight for what you want.
Cheers!

5 Social Media Trends Actually Working in 2026
This video breaks down five critical social media trends for 2026 based on HubSpot's latest data, highlighting the move from AI-saturated content to a human-centric strategy:
Move beyond AI-only content: While AI is helpful for brainstorming and outlining, over-reliance has led to repetitive, generic feeds. Keep the 'hub' of your content human-led.
Prioritize real humans over AI avatars: Trust is built through individual personality, not logos or robotic AI clones. Give your brand a face.
Stop spreading across every platform: Avoid burnout by focusing on two or three channels where your audience resides. Tailor your format to the platform rather than copy-pasting the same assets.
Leverage micro and mid-tier creators: Smaller creators (10k–500k followers) offer higher trust and community engagement at a fraction of the cost compared to celebrity influencers.
Use AI for strategic 'grunt work': Use AI to automate data reporting, audience listening, and brand monitoring to free up time for your team to focus on human judgment and strategy.
