Loss is a bridge we all cross: Use It to Build a Stronger Future

Yesterday, I lost my mother-in-law (Mrs. Roxie Palmer).

It was a shock and still doesn't seem real.

It's amazing to witness the outpouring of love and support from her community and family.

My late father would often say, "you don't find quality people like your in-laws everyday."

I agree.

Her giving nature and love for helping her community was admirable.

I often talk about legacy, because that's all we have when our day comes.

Yes, losing a loved one is painful.

But here's the thing...

Loss is a bridge we all cross and it can build a stronger future.

How so?

I'm glad you asked...

Use loss to help you live with gratitude.

Each day be present as it is a gift.

Often times, entrepreneurs focus on the next big opportunity.

In fact, the opportunity we already have can be further developed.

Use loss as a setup not a setback.

We can learn from the loss and set us up for better methods and behaviors.

Lastly, Use loss to inspire and encourage others.

Once we've been through a loss, that experience can be used to help someone else experiencing loss.

After all, our purpose is to serve isn’t it?

By no means I am saying it is easy but life's a journey.

All I ask is focus on improving daily.

Don’t just go through it, grow through it.
