Mothers Who Never Quit : Don't Hit the Panic Button

Happy Mother's Day 💖

To every mother and mother figure reading this — today is for you.

Historical fact...

Anna Jarvis established Mother's Day in 1908.

Her mission was simple. Honor her mother's legacy of peace and community.

But the greeting card and floral industries turned it into a profit machine.

In her disdain, Jarvis spent her entire fortune fighting to abolish the holiday.

She was even arrested at a protest against it.

Even the best intentions can get hijacked.

So this weekend I had the privilege of attending my sister's wedding.

It was a beautiful occasion.

The remarks were powerful.

Everyone seemed to echo the same thing — keep God first.

But, an uncle stood up with a sobering word.

The enemy will seek to destroy your bond through temptation.

Guard it with daily prayer.

Remarks were over — so we thought.

Then a lady got up from our reception table and walked toward the newlyweds.

We all looked at each other like — what is she about to do?

She came back and said the couple wanted her to share her remarks publicly.

She said it was only meant for them.

In a whisper, she let us in on the words of wisdom.

Yes, keep God first... But keep everyone else out of your personal business.

We all chuckled in agreement.

But underneath the laughter was a truth we all felt.

With all the turmoil in the world today, it's easy to let the enemy win by giving up.

But Reverend Matthew L. Watley said it best:

"Don't hit the panic button just because the enemy won the first round.

Remember, you're in a fight."

And if Les Brown were in the room, he'd remind you:

"Life is a fight for territory. The things you don't want will take over if you don't fight for what you want."

So here's my question for you this week:

What territory are you fighting for in your business and life?

What are you doing to protect it?

Cheers!

How I’d Learn Marketing FAST in 2026

Joanna Wiebe provides a strategic roadmap for building a high-income marketing career by adopting a CMO-level mindset. She emphasizes distinguishing between performance marketing, which optimizes existing systems, and growth marketing, which focuses on expanding new possibilities.

Wiebe advocates using AI as a strategic partner for pressure-testing ideas rather than just generating content, and introduces 'answer engine optimization' to secure citations in AI models. Finally, she underscores the value of deep specialization, owning your brand's ecosystem, and replacing boring, committee-led messaging with polarizing, authentic content that truly resonates with customers.

PROMPT: Create a fantasy scene of a lone white goose discovering a glowing golden pendant on the edge of a misty lake. The dew-covered green grass adds a crisp detail, and a magical blue light emanates from the pendant. This should be a cinematic fantasy shot.'
