Not Perfect. But It Worked. : The Beauty of Building Real Things

This week was monumental.

My printed circuit boards came in.

And they worked.

Not perfectly. But they worked.

Let me put that in perspective.

A few months ago this was just an idea.

Now I have physical boards I can test, troubleshoot, and improve.

That's the beauty of hardware projects.

You design. You build. You learn. You iterate.

And yes, hardware is hard for a reason.

It's not just design. It's parts availability. Right specs. Supply chain.

Manufacturing tolerances and more.

But it comes with the territory when making physical products.

Food for thought…

Do you remember the movie The Matrix?

There's a scene where Neo downloads a martial arts program directly into his brain.

Seconds later…

He's an expert.

That's what AI feels like right now.

I'm not saying AI has all the answers. It doesn't.

But when I have an idea, AI compresses weeks of research into hours.

The key though?

You still have to think.

Critical thinking.

Education.

The ability to process information for yourself?

That still matters.

AI is the tool. You are still the engineer or architect.

Use it properly and there's almost nothing you can't figure out.

So I want to hear from you this week.

You've been reading my newsletter. You've been on this journey with me.

What are your thoughts?

How are YOU using AI to supercharge your ideas?

Hit reply. I'd love to hear from you.

One last thing…

Here is a snapshot of behind the scenes!
Prompt (after pasting one pic of my boards)

💡 TP’s Marketing Lesson

Digital Marketing 101

Here are 5 key tips for beginners starting digital marketing in 2026:

  • Focus on Conversion and Retention: Rather than chasing viral traffic or vanity metrics, prioritize building meaningful relationships with your audience and converting them into loyal customers.

  • Choose One Strategic Path: Don't try to do everything at once. Commit to a single, focused path—such as SEO, paid ads, short-form video, or email marketing—that aligns with what you are selling.

  • Build Your Email List Early: Since social media reach can be volatile, an email list acts as valuable first-party data that you own, providing a direct channel to your audience.

  • Prioritize Community Engagement: In the age of AI, human connection is a differentiator. Engage in relevant online communities and subreddits to build trust, authority, and real human connection.

  • Gather and Act on Data: Use your first 90 days to test and collect data. Pay attention to what drives actual business actions, then double down on the content and strategies that consistently deliver results.
