Still Standing Strong: How to Keep Going When You Don't Feel Like It

And just like that — it's spring.

The weather is warm. There's a buzz in the air. Energy everywhere.

And my sinuses? Absolutely not.

But here's the thing...

As bad as I feel today — I'm still writing this newsletter.

And that got me thinking about the people who showed me how.

When everything in them wanted to stop. When quitting would have been easier.

They kept going anyway.

So how do you persevere when you don't feel like it?

It Started With Dad

I think back to watching my father growing up.

No complaints. No excuses. He showed up every single day.

I still remember him leaving lunch money on his way out the door.

He'd say — "I have to go to work whether I want to or not."

And my father-in-law?

When he was dealing with serious health issues — his motto never changed.

Just keep going. Don't fold. Keep pushing.

Not in a reckless way. In a disciplined way. A refuse-to-quit kind of way.

And I sat with that...

If they can fight through adversity like that — why not me?

Why not you?

Life Is a Fight for Territory

Les Brown always says that life is a fight for territory.

And I believe that.

The things you don't want in your life don't wait for an invitation.

They move in the moment you stop fighting for what you want.

Think about it for a second...

The moment you stop pushing toward your goals, something else fills that space.

And it's rarely something you chose.

You have to fight for the life you want. Every single day.

Even on the days your sinuses are winning.

I'll be honest — today slowed me down a little.

But I'm still working on my Skool community. Still building apps. Still showing up.

Because momentum doesn't care how you feel.

It only responds to what you do.

And I'd rather move slow than not move at all.

Tell me this...

What is trying to take over your territory right now?

And what are you doing to fight back?

The Challenge: Fight for Your Territory

This week, ask yourself:

What have I been letting slow me down that I could be pushing through?

Who in my life kept going through adversity — and what can I learn from them?

What's one thing I can do today — even at half speed — to keep my momentum alive?

You don't have to feel good to keep going.

You just have to keep going.

Happy spring.

And if your sinuses are acting up too — you're not alone.

Cheers!

This video compares OpenClaw and Claude for running business agent teams, specifically looking at their ecosystems as they stand in early 2026. The speaker finds that Claude excels at collaboration, creative work, and strategic planning, offering a polished, trustworthy experience. Conversely, OpenClaw is better for true autonomous delegation, despite being a scrappy newcomer with reliability challenges.

The key to managing both is Skills—reusable, markdown-based instructions for agents that work across platforms. Ultimately, the speaker argues for designing jobs, not just tasks, and using the best ecosystem for the specific job at hand.
