The Success Mindset: Shifting Your Focus from Getting to Giving
Have you ever felt stuck in a cycle of chasing success without achieving it?
Many of us start with that "get rich quick" mentality.
But what if the key to true success lies in a different approach?
It was 2002, me and several other guys made a 17 hour trek to Oklahoma.
I remember it like it was yesterday.
I had joined a MLM (multi-level marketing) company.
Like many others, I was excited about the opportunity to get rich.
Little did I know, it was the beginning of my personal growth journey.
We were driving to Oklahoma for the National Convention.
Each guy took turns driving 3-5 hours.
For the record, we were not singing "the wheels on the bus..." either.
In fact, we were listening to recordings of Jim Rohn, Zig Ziglar and other motivation speakers.
Boring huh?
But, here's the thing...
Zig Ziglar said this one thing that I'll never forget.
He said, "You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want. "
You've probably heard of the Golden Rule ― "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"?
Or maybe you believe in karma, “reaping and sowing” or “the law of reciprocity”?
So, what's the point?
It boils down to giving your marketplace exceptional value.
Put yourself in their shoes for a minute.
Think about a time when someone went above and beyond to help you.
How did it make you feel?
Did it inspire you to take an action in return?
Here's the secret...
By shifting your mindset from "getting" to "giving," you're planting the seeds of success.
