There Has to Be More
My Tuesday Evening Revelation
“ When the student is ready the teacher will appear. When the student is truly ready... The teacher will Disappear. ”
There Has to Be More : My Tuesday Evening Revelation
This weekend was all about celebration.
My wife's birthday on Friday.
And my younger sister joined “club 40” one day later.
But here's the thing...
My week didn't start this way at all.
I remember feeling completely overwhelmed Tuesday evening with work.
"There has to be more to life than this," I thought.
"I must be missing something."
If you've read my previous newsletters, you know the drill.
Focus. Grind. Work hard.
Do what others won't do today to have what others can't have tomorrow.
But sometimes you have to pause and ask yourself:
"Am I going down the right path? How do I get clarity on that?"
Here's where it gets interesting...
I don't know where you are in your faith journey,
but something immediately hit me: "Put Him first. Put God first."
I went on a mission — focusing on what it truly meant to put God first.
I started studying immediately.
Stayed up until 1:30am that night.
It was the most peaceful sleep I've had in a while.
Even though my projects felt overwhelming, this renewed focus gave me clarity.
It helped me zero in on what's most important.
The truth is...
Yes, we want to achieve great things in business and life.
But we also need mental peace.
We need clarity.
Feed your soul first.
Everything else flows from there.
And that's when you can be a good steward of your talents.
Meaning, we can help and serve others the way we're meant to.
The Challenge:
Each morning, I would spend 1-2 hours learning about technology and my industry.
Usually after my morning prayer — not always.
But what if I flipped that?
What if I spent more time with God first?
You know... consistency?
Here's what I discovered: start by putting God first in the morning.
Then, make it a habit throughout the day.
Everything else will fall into place.
But you may be thinking, "Oh, that's too easy?"
Put it this way: if it's easy to do, then it's easy not to do.
Catch my drift?
So I want to encourage you to keep striving and enjoy each day.
But don't forget to appreciate life.
Then, remember why you started.
And if you ever get stuck or lose your way?
Go back to the beginning.
Make sure you're starting each day on the right foot.
God First!
