When Brainstorming Fails, I Shine : Turning Ideas into Innovation
It's Saturday evening and the phone rings...
I was deep in thought while working on my YouTube growth plan.
Suddenly, the ringing stopped before I could answer.
I called back and it went as follows:
“We were discussing a tech idea that would help the community and the first person I thought of was you (Rudy).”
We discussed a few details and I was interested in providing a solution.
I am all for helping the community and there is an opportunity to scale this idea throughout the US.
This doesn’t mean freebie either. (wink)
Question: when people run into specialized problems, do they call you?
Before you say you don't have specialized skills, take inventory of your unique skills.
I'm talking about those above average skills and abilities.
I've had offers to work on apps, new tech products and business opportunities.
My secret is learning to go beyond the proverbial brainstorming and "ideas guy".
Here's the thing...
When I allow curiosity to lead me, I end up learning new skills that pay off later.
If you do cool stuff and share your results ― people will remember you.
John Hegarty put it this way, "Better to be known for something than be forgotten for nothing".
Each week I share marketing tips and AI tools in this newsletter. You can easily start posting on YouTube to document your journey.
You would be surprised who’s watching and then decide to contact you for future help.
I am a firm believer that documentations beats conversation.
Therefore, if you want to stand out ― show don't tell.
