You Can't Be What You Can't See
Belief Beyond Your Circumstances.

You Can't Be What You Can't See
Most people fall in love with the idea of entrepreneurial freedom. But they soon faulter when facing adversity.
What do you think they're lacking?
Can you keep a secret?
OK...September is my favorite month. It's my birthday month and football season begins!
I enjoy watching a competitive football game or two. But — It's more than mere entertainment for me.
What's more interesting are the stories behind the teams.
There's hype, off season changes and jubilant anticipation.
Every team starts out undefeated with high hopes of winning it all.
Recently NFL Hall of Famer — Deion Sanders became the head coach at the University of Colorado. Deion had an amazing coaching career at Jackson State (an HBCU).
Thing is, he decides to take his expertise to a Power 5 program (national stage). Not only that, he brings along his sons and other talented athletes from his program.
And by the way — Jackson State won multiple SWAC Championships with Deion as coach!
Get this....Colorado's 2022 record was 1-11.
One win? Eleven losses? Ouch!!!
Who in their right mind would take on the daunting task to turn that program around? One man...Deion Sanders!
Deion recruited talented players, hired coaches and revamped the team over the offseason. There were many doubters but Deion wasn't one of them.
Ever heard the verse — “where there is no vision, the people will perish”? (proverbs 29:18)
Deion shared his vision until there was massive “buy-in”.
The message was simple but effective — "I believe".
The team went on to win their first two games and the nation took notice! This story is dominating the headlines!
One more example...
I watched 19 yr. old — Coco Gauff win her first US Major Tennis Title (US Open). She's been in the spotlight since age 15.
All along Coco has been saying — "you can't be what you can't see."
Sound familiar?
As I watched the match, Aryna Sabalenka appeared stronger. But — Coco displayed an unwavering calmness which prevailed!
During her celebration speech , Coco said this:
"I tried my best to carry this with grace and I've been doing my best. So honestly, to those who thought [they] were putting water on my fire, you're really adding gas to it. And now I'm really burning so bright right now."
As entrepreneurs and business owners — adversity and setbacks are part of the process.
It boils down to this…
Do you believe? I sure do!
