You Were Built for This: The Gift of Borrowed Belief

Whenever I need to get over the hump, Les Brown never fails me.

I was listening to a podcast and he said something that grabbed my full attention.

"All of us are born the same way — dumb, naked, and speechless."

Let that sink in...

He goes on to say three simple words — we can learn.

And that changes everything.

Because what separates the people who grow from the ones who don't isn't talent.

It's not timing.

It's having someone in your corner who believes in you before you believe in yourself.

When I look back on the moments that changed my trajectory — a parent who wouldn't let me quit. A mentor who saw something in me I couldn't see yet. A friend who said keep going when I was ready to walk away.

I'm forever grateful for every single one of them.

And that borrowed belief?

It carried me until I was strong enough to stand on my own belief.

I remember a mentor telling me that I would go far because I didn't mind learning and working hard.

And now? The coolest part of the journey is being able to pour into others the same way someone poured into me.

Tell me this...

Who believed in you when you didn't believe in yourself?

And who are you showing up for right now?

The Challenge: Be Someone's Borrowed Belief

This week, ask yourself:

Who in your life is struggling and needs someone in their corner?

What mentor, friend, or community pushed you forward — and how can you pay that forward?

What would change for you if you finally had the right support system around your work?

If you're a software developer going from idea to launch — and you're doing it alone — that changes today.

I'm building a Skool community for devs who want real support. Design. Development. Launch. Every stage.

You don't have to figure it out by yourself.

Cheers!
